Financial Analyst Job In USA

The firm’s Specialty Applications (SA) business situated within the Wireless Solutions Division is seeking a Financial Analyst to support a highly dynamic area consisting of diverse business models including commercial and government products, traditional development programs, and international pursuits and programs.

The Financial Analyst position will interact with various levels of management at each business and will be responsible for SA management reporting, including, backlog and book-to-bill reporting, weekly Risk and Opportunities reporting, monthly four-point analysis, sales and profit driver analysis, discretionary spending so on.

Job Responsibilities

The applicant will:

Operate effectively and make decisions with ambiguous information

Assist with the analysis of business cases; including financial, accounting, and compliance implications

Drive efficiencies into the weekly closure reporting process of OSPI

Assist with the Strategic Growth Plan (SGP), Annual Operating Plan and activities

Be responsible for Monthly Orders/Sales/Profit/Investment forecasting and tracking Hyperion; Monthly Financial Reporting consolidation and submission; Monthly Direct Sells and Bid and Proposal budget forecasting and tracking; Monthly Backlog and Book-to-Bill analysis; Monthly Discretionary spending analysis; Capital forecasting and reporting; Balance Sheet forecast

Responsible for a range of quarterly financial reporting activities

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience

Successful candidates should have:

B.S. degree in finance, accounting or related discipline;

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in financial analysis and program finance;

At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Office applications (with advanced Excel skills) required.

At least 4 years of experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Job-Specific Skills

Analytical, organization, and problem solving skills;

Ability to self-motivate and work on your own initiative;

Experience with CostPoint, Cognos, Peoplesoft, HFM and Hyperion Planning is highly desired;

Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills;

Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely;

Hands-on knowledge of the FAR and CAS a plus;

Experience in government contracting environment performing program control analysis.
