The firm seeking a highly motivated individual to join its team in the role of Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents for various sites across the Lower Mainland. They will be responsible for all aspects of the Construction site or support all aspects of the construction site, managing in a time-sensitive, highly pressured environment while prioritizing safety, leading and directing people and maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

The applicant will:

Collaborate with the Project Manager;

Execute project work plans aimed at keeping projects on track and on budget;

Manage and schedule employees, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors;

Manage materials and service purchase orders as per company processes;

Manage all key aspects of the construction site;

Ensure safe and organised site for daily activities;

Lead site project meetings and provide direction and guidance when needed;

Maintain daily report and schedule to demonstrate site progress;

Follow Marcon policies and procedures and leads by example;

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience

Successful candidates should have:

Minimum of 5 years experience as a Superintendent or similar direct supervisory role

Combination of work experience and/or certification/training in an industry related trade

Working knowledge of health and safety programs within the general construction industry

Job-Specific Skills

Proficient reading and understanding of construction documents and blueprints

Analytical, organization, contract management skills, commercial acumen and problem-solving skills;

Good knowledge of MS Office Suite;

Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language;

Ability to use technology and learn software programs as needed
