As a bartender, your basic responsibilities will include for serving customers at the front bar and fulfilling drink orders for the dining room, performing inventories of alcohol at the end of each night, monitoring the cash drawer at the brain order to help in keeping or maintaining proper inventory levels. Bartenders also assist in garnishing, mixing and serving beverages and food to customers. They may also be called barkeeps.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivering a consistently high level of customer service to each customer and maintaining a safe environment by identifying client’s problem and having them addressed.
Keeping bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines or standard as well as the requirements of the local health department
Welcoming and assessing customer’s needs and making recommendations when necessary
Mixing all drinks based on the serving sizes as stated in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
Developing an efficient and comfortable work pace that keeps the customers at the bar
Welcoming and listening to customers to determine their beverage preferences, taking drink orders and making recommendation
Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages updates or arrivals and specials
Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well or properly stocked
Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations a d standards
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience as a bartender would be an added advantage
